Port Huron, MI – Lake Huron Medical Center (LHMC) is pleased to announce its April 2024 Employee of the Month, Bryan Lyon. LHMC is honored to have a strong team of staff and volunteers working hard to deliver high-quality care to the Blue Water Area and beyond.
Bryan works in our security department and has been an employee at LHMC for two and a half years. He was nominated by two fellow employees. One who said “Bryan always steps up and helps wherever he is needed. Recently, Bryan was able to calm a very upset patient down. This patient was an army veteran, Bryan is a United States Marine Corps veteran. Bryan was able to relate to the patient and calm her by asking her about her time in the army and shared some of his experiences as well. Twenty-five minutes went by, and the patient decided to stay and get treatment. Great job Bryan!”. And the other employee said “Bryan went above and beyond when he was approached by an employee who found a property tag on the desk. Bryan found out that the patient was discharged. He looked up the patient’s number and called the 73 year old lady and advised her that her wallet with her license, credit cards and cash were here. The lady jumped right in her car and came to get them. She was so thankful because she had no idea where she lost it.”
