Port Huron, MI – January 19, 2024 – Lake Huron Medical Center (LHMC) is proud to announce that its dedicated employees have come together to raise a remarkable $10,000 for United Way of St. Clair County. These funds were raised through a company-wide fundraising initiative and generous donations.

The LHMC employees demonstrated their commitment to giving back by organizing various fundraising activities including raffles, themed lunches and even a “Pie in the Face” contest where one leader was chosen to be pied for raising the most funds. The enthusiasm and generosity of the employees was truly extraordinary, as they went above and beyond to contribute to all the fundraising efforts and this overall worthy cause.

The donation was presented to Matt Markham and Paul Miller, local radio personalities and the 2023 Chairs for the United Way Campaign by Jose Kottoor, CEO of LHMC and several members of the organization. Both Matt and Paul expressed their gratitude for the generous contribution and highlighted the importance of community support in addressing critical social issues.

“We are incredibly grateful to the LHMC employees for their outstanding efforts in raising funds for the United Way of St. Clair County,” said Lisa Motte, representative of United Way. “This contribution will make a significant difference in the lives of those who rely on the services provided by the United Way of St. Clair County.
