Dr. Dawn Morey

Dr. Dawn Morey’s patient care philosophy is based upon interactive communication between the patient and the physician. Communication is the essential link to gaining an understanding of a patient’s medical history and resolving any surgical issues, both physically and emotionally. As a doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO), Dr. Morey is fully trained and licensed to prescribe medications and perform surgery. She utilizes all medically accepted scientific methods to maintain and restore your health. She will work closely with your primary care physician to consider all your medical needs.

Dr. Morey offers services including general surgery, laparoscopic procedures, minimally invasive surgery, ultrasound-guided breast biopsies, colonoscopy and endoscopy.

Although Dr. Morey primarily offers surgery through Lake Huron Medical Center, she remains dedicated to meeting the needs of the overall community and providing on-call surgical coverage to the Blue Water Area; and, as needed, to patients at Deckerville Community Hospital.

Dr. Morey received her medical degree from the University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Kansas, City, Missouri. She completed her residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center, in Grand Blanc, Michigan; and is Board Certified in General Surgery. She has been in practice for more than 20 years.

Dr. Shilpin Mehta

Dr. Mehta is committed to delivering surgical care that is of the highest quality and brings a strong focus on general and specialized areas of surgery that will add value and expertise to our patients and hospital.

He is a board-eligible surgeon in general and bariatric surgery and specializes in robotic surgery using the da Vinci Surgery System.

Dr. Mehta received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, and his medical degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York, New York. His general surgery residency was completed at St. John Providence Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights. Dr. Mehta also served as a research assistant at the University of Michigan Cancer Center and Karmanos Cancer Institute.

Dr. Aaron Overly

Dr. Overly will perform robotic procedures using da Vinci Si® technology at Lake Huron Medical Center. The hospital’s investment in this advanced technology, paired with specialized training affords patients a wide range of minimally invasive surgical procedure options.

He is a board-eligible surgeon in general and bariatric surgery and specializes in robotic surgery using the da Vinci Surgery System.

Dr. Overly received his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University, and his medical degree from Touro University of Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine in Henderson, Nevada. He completed his general surgery residency with St. John Oakland Hospital in Warren where he served as co-director of General Surgery Residency Education. Dr. Overly has also served as a Quality Improvement Advisor for Henry Ford Hospital in Wyandotte.
