Lake Huron Medical Center offers inpatient diabetic care as well as outpatient diabetes education services. Our Inpatient Diabetes Program has earned Joint Commission’s Disease Specific Certification for Inpatient Diabetes Care. Earning certification from Joint Commission affirms the quality of care we provide to our patients and signifies our devotion to patient safety. Lake Huron Medical Center is 1 of 3 hospitals in Michigan and 1 of 88 hospitals nationally to hold this designation.

Diabetes is a condition that affects many in the Blue Water Area – and at Lake Huron Medical Center, we provide the high-quality, compassionate care that you have come to expect from us. We teach up-to-date skills and techniques to manage your diabetes through our Outpatient Diabetes Care. Our team can provide education and support in managing pre-diabetes, type 1, type 2, or gestational diabetes.

The Diabetes Center is located on Lake Huron Medical Center’s North Campus located at 4190 24th Avenue, Fort Gratiot.
