Hand Therapy

Through the Hand Therapy Certification Commission, a Hand Therapist provides occupational therapy and rehabilitation to patients who experience conditions affecting the hands and upper extremities. Therapy enables patients to hasten their return to a productive lifestyle.

Aquatic Therapy

In partnership with Lake Huron Medical Center, the YMCA Healthy Living Center provides outpatient physical and aquatic therapy rehabilitation and restorative patient care services. We are dedicated to improving our patients’ quality of life. All of the therapy programs are designed with personalized goals in mind.

VitalStim®

The VitalStim® Therapy System is an additional method of therapy, performed by a Certified Speech Therapist, which unites the power of electrical stimulation with the benefits of swallowing exercises to traditional therapies. Combining VitalStim and traditional therapy allows clinicians to accelerate strengthening, restore function, and help the brain remap the swallow.
